Hello Osama,

Thank you for your reply and help!

Additionally, if you don't mind, I have a new question. Suddenly, the titles on my Chinese website have all turned into English. Specifically, the titles on subpages are correct.

Let me give you an example: on the homepage, the English title is "Home - ASNY Craft Factory." On the Chinese homepage, it should be "首页 - 东莞艾思尼工艺厂." However, now, the Chinese homepage shows "首页 - ASNY Craft Factory." In the product gallery, it’s "产品画廊 - ASNY Craft Factory." If you browse any subpages on my Chinese website, you’ll find that all the titles end in English, "- ASNY Craft Factory," which should be in Chinese instead.

I’ve tried using WPML String Translation to adjust the site title, but it doesn’t work. I also set it up in Yoast, but it seems to have no effect either. To summarize, these attempts are completely ineffective. I believe it might be a compatibility issue between WPML and Yoast SEO. Could you advise me on how to troubleshoot or resolve this issue? Thank you.

Hi,

Please try the following steps to translate this string:

1- Go to WPML-> String Translation
2- Scroll down and click on the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link
3- Search for the needed strings
4- Select the strings
5- Click on the "Add to String Translation" button
6- Then click on the "« Return to String Translation" link
7- Translate the strings, clear the cache, and check the front end

Kindly check our guide to know more about translating texts in the admin texts screen. (https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/)

Best regards,
Osama

Hello, I followed your steps and added the strings containing Yoast SEO. However, this did not resolve the issue. Please review my three images. In both languages, I can independently set their slogans. However, the titles remain the same. For example, if I set "123" in the Chinese version, it will also appear in the English version as "123," and vice versa.

Also, no matter what title I set in either Chinese or English, it does not take effect on the frontend. Could you help me identify what in WPML is blocking Yoast SEO settings (it was working fine before)?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi,

Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Please note that I won't be able to check the issue today, but I'll update the ticket as soon as I check it with my findings.

Best regards,
Osama
