This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing a critical error on the Arabic version of their website, which only occurs when logged in. The issue was suspected to be related to plugin compatibility.
Solution:
We took the following steps to diagnose and resolve the issue:
1. Updated WPML plugins to the latest version, which did not resolve the issue.
2. Updated the Meta Box AIO plugin, after which the error reappeared, indicating a compatibility issue with its latest version.
3. Rolled back WPML plugins while keeping the updated Meta Box AIO, but the error persisted.
This confirmed that the problem is specifically with the latest version of the Meta Box AIO plugin. We recommend contacting the Meta Box AIO plugin author for a potential fix, as previous versions were compatible with WPML. We have temporarily reverted to an older version of Meta Box AIO to stabilize the site.

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Great to hear the full backup restore resolved the issue.

I tried logging in to the staging site, but it seems my access was removed after the restore.

Could you please:

1. First, try updating the WPML plugins to the latest versions and check if everything still works fine.

2. Then, update the Meta Box plugin.

This step-by-step approach will help us identify which plugin update is causing the issue.

Hi Noman,

I couldnt update WPML plugins on Staging (Im getting error).

1. I was restoring backups, it took few hours. Instead of 9th, last restore version is now from 25.03.2025.

2. Also on that restore from 25th, both WPML and MB plugin still were not updated, and all is working.

3. I tried to restore only files without database from 14.04.2025. (morning backup), but its showing error in AR version.

Please try to update WPML like last time.

If it still show error Ill restore backup again and then Ill update MetaBox plugin to see if then is OK.

Thanks for the update.

I tried logging in, but the credentials still aren’t working on my end, could you please double-check them?

Once I can access the site, I’ll try updating the WPML plugins as before and test again. If the error persists, your plan to restore the backup and then update Meta Box sounds good.

Thanks for providing the access details. I followed the below steps:

1. Updated WPML plugins to the latest version — everything works fine with the current (older) version of the Meta Box AIO plugin.

2. Then, updated Meta Box AIO plugin — the error appeared again on the Arabic version.

3. Rolled back WPML plugins to previous versions and kept the updated Meta Box AIO — the error still appears.

This confirms that the issue is caused by the latest version of the Meta Box AIO plugin, regardless of which WPML version is used.

I’d recommend reaching out to the Meta Box AIO plugin author about this — they might already have a fix to ensure compatibility with WPML, as it worked fine in their earlier version.

For now, I’ve kept WPML plugins updated and left Meta Box AIO on its older version. The Arabic version is working fine on the staging site.

1. Ive downloaded old version of MetaBox (from staging) and re-installed it on live website.

2. AR version is working properly now.
