Problem:
How to translate the downloadable products?
Solution:
- Go to Woocommerce > Woocommerce Multilingual > Settings.
- Select the Add separate download files for translations when translating products option from the Products Download Files section. (check the screenshot).
- Save the settings.
- Go to the product in the dashboard and do a small change, for example, change the title to force the need to update the translation.
- There you will see a separate section for translating the downloadable product items.

Hi !
I'm trying to translate virtual downloadable product to have the possibility to download technical sheets in different languages. But the fields are locked in the other language. Is it possible to unlock this or it is just not possible to translate a virtual downloadable product ?
Thank you in advance for your answer
The Virtual Product translation process is no different from the simple product and you need to do it by going to Woocommerce > Woocommerce Multilingual > Products (Tab).
Thank you for the answer but in the Products tab, when I click on a product, the fields to modify this aren't there. When I got on a product (Products in WooCommerce), the fields are also locked (image attached).
Kind Regards,
Stephane
The locks are correct as you should not change that from the edit screen there. But it should be available for you in the Translation Editor.
I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website, just in case something happens, you will have a point of restore.
I set the next reply to private so you can provide the information safely.
