Can I have your permission to create a duplicator package here? hidden link . I need the latest copy so that I could troubleshoot this further on our dev site.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but in order to proceed with troubleshooting, we kindly request a site snapshot. Alternatively, with your permission, we can create a snapshot on our own.
For this purpose, we typically recommend using the free plugin "Duplicator." If you are already familiar with how Duplicator works ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/), please skip the following steps and simply send me the archive file you downloaded.
To assist you further, please follow these instructions:
Watch the Duplicator instructions video: hidden link
If the archive file exceeds 400MB in size, please utilize Duplicator's file filters to exclude the cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files.
Once you have the archive file, please share the link with us. You can use services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar platforms as the snapshot file will likely be large.
Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the link to the file there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site.
I wanted to send you a quick update. Yesterday, I tried deleting the translated (chinese) page and recreating it using Advanced Translator, but it seemed to still have the translation saved somewhere (text & links). So, I went into String Translation and deleted it there. That actually cleared the translation out of Advanced Translation Editor. I then tried adding the translation back but its not saving it. I only see the english on the front end but when I click to edit the translation I see the chinese on the back end.
I'm sorry for the delay in addressing this ticket. I have imported a copy of the site into my local installation, and I will conduct a thorough investigation. I'll get back to you as soon as possible with my findings and any necessary actions.
I've fixed the page but the link is still not working hidden link . I've imported the duplicator copy into my local dev site and the links work fine. It seems the issue is isolated to your Website for some reason.
Please allow me to escalate this to our 2nd Tier Support for further investigation.
I've fixed this for you manually so that you can work on the site without issues. In the meantime, could you share your server FTP access here so that I can check on the server error logs?
I have reviewed the debug logs, and I haven't identified any significant issues that could be causing this problem. Are you encountering difficulties translating links on other pages as well, or is this issue specific to just this particular page?
This is the only page that has a link that's part of the text vs a button. I tried adding the chinese version of our videos page link to that translated page and it doesn't work still. Also when I enter the link, it gets entered encoded. Could that be the issue?
This is how it goes in but the screenshot shows how it looks in the browser.
