This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to access the English translation of a blog page, which was previously available. The menu item linking to the page was missing, and the page was not listed in the page overview.
Solution:
We found that the translation was created as a draft and had been moved to the trash. We restored the page and then published it. If you encounter a similar issue, please make sure that the translation is not created as a draft or added to trash.
If this solution doesn't look relevant, please open a new support ticket.

Hi,

Another issue with this website. I did have already an issue 3 weeks ago. This is a different issue as there is nog video on the this page.

It is the blogpage. Original page in Dutch: hidden link.

The English blog page has been translated and at some point it could be viewed. It was accessible via the menu. I now discovered that the menu item is no longer available. This because the page can no longer be accessed. Going into WPML and saving the page does not solve the issue. It seems to save ok, but cannot be found in the page overview.

Many thanks,
Margriet

Hi Margriet,
Thanks for contacting WPML support.

Please create a full backup of the database and website then go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page, and click the following:

- Clear the Cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Fix WPML table collation
- Set language information
- Fix post type assignment for translations

Then check if you can access the translated page.

Kind regards,
Mohamed

Hi Mohamed,

Unfortunately this did not resolve the issue. I did even save the page again in WPML but it still does not show up in the overview of English pages and when being on the Dutch page the language switcher (flag) does not appear to indicate that there is an English version of this page.

Kind regards,
Margriet

I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to investigate the issue further.
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website first❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site if needed.

If you don't see the form below, please don't add your credentials as they will be publicly exposed:

Thanks for your cooperation

Hi Margriet,

The translation was created as a draft, also it was trashed. I restored the page then published it, now I can access the page as you see here: hidden link

Please check and confirm if the issue is resolved.

Kind regards,
Mohamed

Hi Mohamed,

Sorry to have bothered you with this. I should of course have checked myself if the page was saved as a draft.

Kind regards,
Margriet
