[Waiting for user feedback] translating a page does not work
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Elementor users - please update WPML to the latest version to maintain compatibility. More details here - https://wpml.org/changelog/2024/12/wpml-4-6-15-critical-update-for-elementor-sites/
Thanks for contacting us. It looks like some content on the page is causing some issues. I need access to your Website to check on the "Thank you" page.
I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
Hi There!
Thanks for contacting WPML Support. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.
Before this thread gets assigned to my colleague, I'd like to offer some initial guidance or potential solutions.
From the screenshot, it appears that the translation is not fully completed, which is why you’re unable to save it. Could you please ensure the translation progress reaches 100% and then save the changes?
If you’re having trouble fully completing the translation or can’t find specific text for translation, preventing the progress from reaching 100%, try switching to the previous version of the Translation Editor and attempt to complete the translation there.
- In the Translation Editor, click on the Gear icon located in the top-right corner.
- Toggle the "Use previous translation editor" switch, provide a reason, and confirm the switch to the previous editor.
- Make sure to fully complete the translation and save the changes.
Please give it a try and let us know how it goes. We'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
