This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You want to translate custom user fields created in Paid Memberships Pro, but the plugin is not fully compatible with WPML.
Solution:
Since Paid Memberships Pro is not officially compatible with WPML, the fields you created might not be translatable directly through WPML. We recommend inviting the plugin authors to join our GoGlobal program, where we can collaborate to enhance compatibility. Another user faced a similar issue and resolved it by manually adding translation functions to their child theme's functions.php file. You can find more details on this workaround in the WPML forum: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/translation-of-pmpro-custom-user-field/#post-13606429. If you need further assistance, consider contacting the plugin authors directly.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket with us for further assistance: WPML Support Forum.

Background of the issue:
I want to translate some custom user fields that I have created in Paid Memberships Pro. For each user, I want the user to be able to enter "Child 1", "Child 2", e.g. (hidden link).

Symptoms:
I am unable to search for the string (child's name) under string translation. I have done a search under the relevant domains (Paid Memberships Pro) under Themes and Customizations.

Questions:
Is there another way I can translate custom user fields in Paid Memberships Pro?

Hello,

thanks for contacting us.

Please note Paid Membership Pro is not officially compatible with WPML so the same issue may happen. As I could see it seems the integration is not 100%, even per plugin author, I suggest inviting them to our GoGlobal and we will be glad to work together.

As for your question, another user had same issue:

"i talked to the PMPro support and actually they told me that the user field values are stored directly in the database so most probably they cannot be translatable in WPML. For this they suggest to me to add the fields manually so i add to my functions.php in the child theme the following functions"

The best I can advise is to follow a same suggestion from the plugin author, and / or contact them for further explanation on this workaround.

Regards,
Drazen
