Background of the issue:
We’re having trouble translating content created in a Widget on our site hidden link. When we try to translate content containing this HTML: Back, the translation doesn’t save. We’ve been going to WPML > String Translation, selecting the correct domain, and trying to translate the widget text. To troubleshoot, we created a test page with the same content and markup, and translations worked fine there. Additional information that might be helpful is that we are using Malcare in our Production where we are having this issue. We try to replicate this in our Testing Environment without this plugin and we can translate the content in Widget without issue.

Symptoms:
The translation doesn’t save when adding the tag with the "onclick" attribute in the widget text.

Questions:
Why does the translation not save when adding the tag with the "onclick" attribute in the widget text?
Could Malcare be causing the issue with translations in the Production environment?
