Thank you for sharing this with me!

Please review the following documentation on how to set up the custom blocks with WPML

Documentation:
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/translate-sites-built-with-acf/translating-acf-blocks-with-wpml/

Based on the docs it is recommended to use the WordPress Editor option rather than WPML Editor when it comes to using this type of set up with different content across languages or the expert mode.

- Go to the test page and edit in the default language
- Select "WordPress Editor" and assign it to this page only -> make a small change -> update and refresh
- Click to go to the translation -> it will open in the WP editor
- Add the URL and update

Now when you go back to the default language and make a change it will no longer overwrite your content

Thanks for your answer. Sadly this is not it. Because this is what i used the hawl time. Also, know if i test it on the sandbox. the autotranslation is know not working. That means the other fields wich should translatet are not.

Hi there,

To make sure I understand your results, please review the following:

1. When following my steps listed above using the WordPress editor are you able to successfully translate the URL without it overwritting?

2. When using the WordPress editor you will not be able to use the automatic translation for this specific page.

3. Do you agree that when using a standard ACF field (not custom) this issue does not reproduce, even on your environment?

You said that this is what you have been using the whole time, do you mean that this was working as expected up until recently?

1. Yes i can sucesfully translate the url on every language. But if i change something on the default language. Every url is back to default language and not in the state i left it.
2. I would glady use the manager. but i cant, because the urlfield is not showing up.
3. No because if i have a text field in which i past a shortcode, every time i do some changes on the default language, the shortcode is back to the default language version. Text around the shortcode is translatet. This shows up by nummbers, shortcodes and urls.

I don't know if its had ever worked.

Thank you for updating me!

These results are not similar to my results while making the tests on your site.

When following the steps from here https://wpml.org/forums/topic/urls-in-acf-fields-are-auto-translated/page/2/ I was able to create the acf field and did not overwrite the content no matter how many changes I made to the default language after

Also when adding a standard ACF field and not a custom one, I could not reproduce this behavior at all.

I would be happy to screen-record my steps if needed, however, I noticed that the ACF has been changed now.
