This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to add an SVG logo to translated pages. While the SVG logo displays correctly on the default language page, it shows as a broken image link on the French and Spanish versions. The client confirmed that switching the logo to a PNG format resolved the issue on the translated pages.

Solution:
1. We informed the client that WordPress does not support SVG files by default and provided a link to resources that explain how to enable SVG file usage on a WordPress site: https://www.google.com/search?q=wordpress+svg.
2. We confirmed that WPML should support SVG images and suggested that the client tries to load the translated version of the SVG files as the "translation" of the default-language SVG image, inside WPML > Media Translation.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case. If this is the case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Tell us what you are trying to do? Add SVG logo to translated pages

Is there any documentation that you are following? No

Is there a similar example that we can see? No

What is the link to your site? hidden link

We are trying to use an SVG version of our logo on translated pages, which works fine on the traditional page/english version. The French & English versions show a broken image link. When I changed the logo to a png and updated the translations, it now shows the images just fine on the translated pages. The current /contact page has the PNGs now since this is a live page.

Thank you for your help!

Hi there.

Before this ticket gets assigned to one of my colleagues, I will try to help.

As far as I know, WordPress doesn't support SVG files out of the box.

Please take a look over the following resources in this custom search:

There are specific methods that you can use to enable ".SVG" file usage on a WordPress site.

I hope that you will find this information helpful. 🙂

Thank you for that information. I already have a plugin installed to show our logo in SVG format which I can easily do in the english/non-translated pages. Once translated, the same SVG image that shows on the front end in English, is broken on the translated pages.

Does WPML support SVG?

Thanks.

Hi there and thank you for the update.

Yes, WPML should support SVG images.

Can you please let me know if you had the chance to try to load the translated version of the SVG files as the "translation" of the default-language SVG image, inside WPML > Media Translation?

Please let me know.
