This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue with a subdomain where WPML is not needed, causing the website to not load properly.
Solution:
We recommended that the client should deactivate WPML for the subdomain where it is not required. Since WPML needs at least two languages to function, and the client does not intend to translate content on this subdomain, it is best to disable WPML for that specific site within the network. We provided guidance on how to deactivate WPML on a per-site basis within a multisite network, which can be found in our documentation here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/

Please note that the solution provided might be outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket: WPML support forum.

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.

Hi there.

Before this ticket gets assigned to my colleagues, can you please elaborate a bit more on this matter?

Can you please explain what you are trying to accomplish, what are the exact steps that you are taking, what is not working and how would you expect to see things happening? Do you see any error messages? And if you do see error messages, can you please send us a copy of those?

Please let us know.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

My subdomain zebrestrategie.com/gp doesn’t look right and this is because of my wpml plugin (I guess) because wehen I disactivate it, it works fine

I have a multisite website and wpml is activated on my network. It work fine with my other subdomains where I need to translate my pages. But I don’t need it on this subdomain because it is only a french website so I didn’t settled the plugin

Hi,

If you are using WPML with a WP installation within a directory, please go to WPML->Languages and enable Language name as a parameter.

Once enabled, please let me know if that helps with the issue you are experiencing.

Note: I attempted to review the site but it looks like WP is not installed yet, and takes me to the WP initial configuration page.

As a first step please review our getting started guide here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/

If that does not help, please share a bit more information with me so I can better understand what you would like to do with WPML. Also, please note that WPML requires 2 languages at minimum to be enabled in order to work as expected.

What are your results if you switch from using the page URL format to Language name as a parameter ?

Does it work OK then?

Hello

I can't do this. Look at the picture attached ...
What do you want me to translate this into ? It's only a French website. I don't need to translate it on another language ...

Thank you for the screenshot!

What you have shared with me is the configuration wizard of WPML, as of right now WPML is not activated on your site and requires this wizard to be finished.

WPML requires 2 languages at minimum.

Your default language so in the screenshot where you have French that needs to be the language that your site is built with even without WPML.

On the next drop you need to select the language you will be translating into.

I understand that on this subdomain you do not need to translate into anything, why not just deactivate it from the network and enable WPML for each subsite that needs it?

See our documentation here on how to do this:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/

I have. now another problem.

I have this file : '/home/mywebsite/public_html/wp-content/languages/plugins/woocommerce-fr_FR.l10n.php' contains some string encoded with a common encoder, e.g. base64. They are often used to hide malicious code

I have security issue right now.

Can you confirm me this file is ok and safe on your side ?

Hi,

This file is coming from WooCommerce and not WPML, it is also located in a standard WP directory and not one created by WPML.

I recommend reaching out to them directly, as I do believe they use l10n.php to create their .mo and .po files but usually within wp-content/languages/plugins/ you do not find .php files but rather, .json, .mo and .po files, but their team will be the best to review this.
