Hello, my WPML is in 8 languages, but the admin, when editing a translated page is also in the language. I will like all back to english as admin

Here is the ticket. I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

The reason this is happening is because, you've loaded the Chinese language file for WordPress so it will translate all WordPress Editors to Chinese. hidden link

But when I removed it from your language file, it will show only English hidden link .

Is this what you're trying to achieve? I can make the changes to your production site once you've confirmed.

Hi Kor, Yes it is exactly that is want.
On the first link you sent the admin is in Chinese. Not good
and on the second the admin is still in English despite the translation is in Chinese. Good !!

But I am not understand the reason why:"because, you've loaded the Chinese language file for WordPress so it will translate all WordPress Editors to Chinese." !??!?!?

I appreciate your response. To clarify, I haven't had the opportunity to work on your production site, which is located at hidden link.

If you suspect that the problem may arise after I've reviewed your website earlier, would it be possible for you to restore the site from a backup? Once it's been restored, please inform me, and I will then proceed to examine and address the language file issue on your production site.

Since this is unrelated to the editor language issue, I've split the ticket here https://wpml.org/forums/topic/footer-is-displaying-the-wrong-language/ so that we could follow up with the footer showing the wrong language issue.

I will work on the editor language now so that it shows the English language.

I've removed some language files ".mo" in your server language folder. To be precise, wp-content/language/

Example : fr_FR.mo

This is the file from WordPress and it's translating the backend editor. So, removing it will force WordPress to use the default language which is en_US (English)
