Background of the issue:
I am developing a website using a premium theme and the official WPML plugins. We are hosted on Hostinger.

Symptoms:
After translating some pages, I encounter a 404 error on the translated pages. Saving permalinks temporarily fixes the issue, but the error reappears after some time on certain pages.

Questions:
How can I permanently fix the 404 error on translated pages?

Thanks for contacting us.

You're absolutely right—resaving the permalinks is the correct way to resolve this issue. However, if the problem reoccurs, it might be related to a server configuration.

If you're still experiencing the issue, I’d be happy to take a closer look at your website to investigate further. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Thanks for your reply. I've checked your WPML settings and all seems fine. One thing to note is the WordPress Memory limit as shown here hidden link

Also, I've tested several pages and I'm not experiencing 404 errors yet. Can you replicate the issue now?
