When navigating to homepage it switches to default language

pedroR-32	Background of the issue: I am trying to make it so the homepage stays in the currently selected language when navigating to it. The issue can be seen at hidden link. Symptoms: When navigating to the homepage, it switches to the default language. I expected the homepage to go to hidden link but instead, it goes to hidden link. Questions: How can I ensure the homepage stays in the selected language? Why does the homepage switch to the default language?
