I am planning to clone my website from a subdomain (new.nala.ge) to the main domain (nala.ge) using the following method:
Rename the current public_html directory.
Create a new public_html directory.
Use Softaculous Apps Installer to clone the new.nala.ge site to nala.ge, which will populate the new public_html directory with the cloned version of new.nala.ge.
Before proceeding, I want to ensure that this method will not disrupt the functionality of the WPML plugin. Specifically, I am concerned about potential issues with:
Language settings and translations
URL structures for different languages
Any configurations or custom settings related to WPML
Could you please advise if there are any precautions or additional steps I should take to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any disruptions to WPML?

Hello,
As soon you migrate the website WPML will automatically adjust all internal links. This usually happens when you complete the WPML language setup (site URL structure) and after that save the WordPress Permalink settings.
The settings and translations will remain saved inside the database, even if you disable or delete WPML from the site. We have a special reset options to remove such data.
The only thing you will need to consider is that the new site URL will need to get registered on wpml.org and a new site key needs to be used to register WPML at Plugins > Add new plugin > Commercial.
Let me know if further assistance will be required.
Best regards
Andreas
