On my site's WooCommerce checkout page (hidden link), the country drop-down for the billing address is not displaying, instead it shows a text box that does not register with the system (see screenshot). I read a similar ticket (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/country-dropdown-list-not-working/) where there was a string translation that should not have a translation and deleting it solved the issue. Can you tell me what that string is?

Thank you for contacting the support.

Well, I am not sure about that string, but perhaps that was their site specific, that's why there's no clear mentioning about it.

However, before proceeding further, may I ask you to try the following?

IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand. It is highly advised to try the following on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised.

- Deactivate all plugins except WPML and WooCommerce and check for the issue.
- Activate each plugin one-by-one, while keeping check on the issue after a plugin is activated. This way you'll be able to pinpoint a plugin having a conflict (or problem), if any.
- If the problem persists, repeat the above steps with a default theme of WordPress (i.e. 2021 or 2023).

Please let me know and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.
