Just wanna let you know that this is the tip of an iceberg. Many Woocommerce default translations on other pages are still showing English. Thanks. Look forward to hearing from you shortly.

Hi there,

Please kindly make sure that you set up Woocommerce Multilingual plugin as mentioned here:

https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/translating-cart-and-checkout-pages/#translating-the-cart-and-checkout-pages-on-your-own

After that, please follow the steps below:

- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Woocommerce > Woocommerce Multilingual> Status (tab)".
- If there is a red exclamation point error, please follow the instructions to fix them.
- Make sure that all the Woocommerce pages there is automatically translated and there is no exclamation point.

Thanks.

hi chris,

thanks for your reply.

however, we have just migrated the site to another domain (naturalgems.com.hk) but some of woocommerce default texts which used to show up on the old site don't now! below is an example.

price, default sorting, filter, and add to cart are in english on the new site whereas the default woocommerce translations are in traditional chinese on the old site. we haven't done anything and they both are sitting on a site ground server with the same server settings.

this is not even a cart or checkout page! any idea?

thanks.

hi chris,

on the checkout page hidden link

"Your personal data will be used to support your experience throughout this website, to manage access to your account, and for other purposes described in our" is woocommerce text not bridge theme text as shown in the screenshot. none of the translations is there!

there must be some settings which have not been done correctly. any idea?

Hi there,

It seems that there is a problem with the migration. I have the suggestions below:

- Make sure you have a complete backup of the original website just in case.
- Do the migration again.
- If the problem persists, please check if the new website folders have correct write permission as WPML uses the PO files for the translations.
- Try the troubleshooting methods below:

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website.
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Support > Troubleshooting (link)".
- Click the buttons annotated in the screenshot below one by one and wait for each button process to finish:
https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/7206941-buttons.png

Try to find what is difference between the old and migrated version. As the same set of code is used as the same version of WPML is used on both websites, it is certainly an environmental issue and server-related one or a failed migration issue.

Thanks.
