Hi,

First, I'm running a Impreza (child) theme i.c.w. WPML.

So I have added a mail form to the contact page of the website, and am looking into the translations of the various texts inside the WP bakery Page Builder 'Contact Form' module. (us_cform)

I found most of the parts that make up the form in the Translation Strings, but cannot find the following parts of the form. They are just not to be found anywhere:
- The various dropdown option items
- The error messages of the fields and/or send conformation.
These parts show up in the html as 'w-form-row-field (/option)' and 'w-form-row-state'

Is there a way to get these texts to show up in ATE, or the strings?

I have looked into the documentation of adding Theme parts to ATE, but adding XML data and/or tweaking the wpml-config.xml is a bit too much atm....

Hope someone can help me in the correct direction here....

Anyone?
This is the only thing that is keeping me from adding a new language to the website....

Hello,

We appreciate you reaching out to WPML support.

Please share your website's debug information, which you can find here: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/ . Additionally, kindly provide the URL of the specific page where the form is located and include some screenshots for our reference. This will help us assist you more effectively.

As for adding a new language, I've split the ticket here https://wpml.org/forums/topic/adding-new-language-to-the-website-is-not-possible/ so that we could follow up.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting me!

The NL/EN contact page with the form is to be found at hidden link.

And splitting this question into two support parts isn't necessary. I can add languages just fine to the website.

It's just some text inside the WP Bakery Contact Form module is for some reason not completely accessible from ATE or the translation strings. See the images for what can be found in the contact page form, ATE and the translation strings.

As you can see the dropdown options are not to be found anywhere for translation.
Within WPML search options there's also nothing related to any text part in the dropdowns.

And for some reason only -two- of the mail form warnings can be translated for the German website, but all three -are- translated in the NL/EN version of the page. The last error message cannot be found in any way in the strings either.

I -can- manually edit/translate the form text by going into the mail form module per page/language, but on my local development website it broke the various contact pages at some point.
At that point all translations were a jumble between languages.
e.g. English text on the Dutch page, some German on the English page etc.

So my questions stands.
How do I get these missing bits of text to show up in ATE and/or the Translations Strings?
I hope the attached images makes it more clear 🙂

Thanks for your reply.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Hi,

Unfortunately I cannot give you access to the production website, as it is used as a active means of booking apartments. You can understand this cannot be interrupted.

What I can do is make a backup of the local development website with Duplicator, so you can test that for errors and/or fixes. I've done that a while ago for a colleague of yours as well.

Let me know if that will work for you.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, that would be great. Please watch the Duplicator instructions video: hidden link

Refer to the instructions provided by WPML on how to provide supporters a copy of your site: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/

If the archive file exceeds 400MB in size, please utilize Duplicator's file filters to exclude the cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files.

Once you have the archive file, please share the link with us. You can use services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar platforms as the snapshot file will likely be large.

Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the link to the file there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site.

Hi Kor,

The issue with the dropdown seems to be a bug in the Impreza Theme Core, and was just confirmed by the team.
So to avoid a lot of other work, we can close this one. It's always hard to pinpoint things like these, when there's so much working together.

Thanks for the replies and support.
