I understand this is a WPEngine issue, but is there a way to recover my data?
We post content everyday and then this happens, we cannot keep up with this issue.

Hi, this is what WPML has to say:

> If you provide me with the installs you wish you disable the script on we will be more than happy to but based upon what we are looking at it on our end we cannot see anything from the logs that would suspect that the table in question is being deleted by us.

They are saying they are not deleting any tables. So, how or why is my WPML plugin getting reset? Please advise.

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

Please note replies in ticket and over weekends might take a bit more time.

I have checked further on your issue, and this is a known issue with WP Engine. We are working on this to solve the issue in the future. I have added your ticket to our internal developer's ticket and will update you when I have some news from our side.

The issue happens due to WPEngine performance autoload data limitations. I am sure if they check logs they will see cron removed these tables due to its larger size.

I am sharing more info and reply from WPEngine from another ticket:

To answer WPMLs question is that we do remove large options from a database with a daily cron that runs.

In our environment, a large option is defined as having more than 1mb for autoload content and 4mb for non-autoload content. Rows in wp_options with autoload set to "yes" are considered large at 1mb because all of it is loaded up on every single page load.

Since for now, there is not much we can do from our side, I suggest you check further on this with WPEngine if they can disable auto-delete of these larger tables.

From our side, when I have more info I will update you via this ticket.

I hope I was helpful. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any further doubts, I'll gladly help you.

Regards,
Drazen

Thank you, WPEngine got back to us and told us they were auto-deleting content from wp_options table.

However, we are still experiencing a number of issues with WPML Plugin and ACF plugin when used together. Here are a few examples:

1. A number of times when we've tried to update content in one language, it gets reset with content from other language. Ex: We are working on a page in French, we hit Update, all our content gets reset to English.

I have a safe isolated environment that I can share with you where you can reproduce this issue.

2. We have a number of ACF fields which do not update in the translated version at all. Ex: On a translated page we try to enter a value for a field and it doesn't persist at all. Non-translated page is fine.
