This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are using WPML version 4.7.4 and have noticed that after translation, the process shows a gear icon instead of the pencil icon, indicating that translations are being sent to a local translator instead of completing directly.
Solution:
We recommend updating your WPML to the latest version, which is 4.7.6. After updating, please test the functionality again. If the issue persists, follow these steps:
1. Go to WPML → Settings and ensure that the WPML Advanced Translation Editor is activated.
2. Navigate to WPML → Translation Management, select a job, and send it for automatic translation.
3. Verify that you are listed as a translator under WPML → Translation Management → Translators.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, the solution might be outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am using WPML version 4.7.4 on my site hidden link. Previously, when translating pages, the process worked fine and showed the pencil icon after the WPML AI Translation Panel completion.

Symptoms:
Now, the process shows the gear icon, indicating that translations are being sent to a local translator instead of completing directly.

Questions:
Why is the gear icon appearing instead of the pencil icon after translation?
Why are translations being sent to a local translator now?
