Post translation not deleting when original is deleted

usahello	I'm noticing some WPML behavior that isn't what I am expecting. When I delete a post in the site default language (English), the translations and duplicates of the original post do not get deleted. I have the "When deleting a post, delete translations as well" setting enabled in WPML > Settings under the "Posts and pages synchronization" section. I feel like this used to work, but no longer does. I've verified by testing on a clean WordPress installation with only WPML active.
