We moved the website from a subdirectory to the master one with plug-in installed.
The website (backend) becomes really slow; it's impossible to edit a page for the translaction.

we tryed to re-install WPML plug-in but nothing chages.

Please try to enable a minimal environment as below and see if it helps:
- Deactivate all non-WPML plugins.
- Switch to a standard theme of WordPress.
❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Following the documentation https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/optimize-multilingual-website-performance-using-w3-total-cache/
it is recommended to translate all content on your site before activating W3 Total Cache plugin.

Notice: Please don't add your site credentials to your comment. This is a public forum and anyone can see that. You can share when a supporter asks for it and there will be a private box to fill in the info.

We did what you asked. However, after re-enabling all the plugins the problem remains.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Hi,

I can see the issue on your site even after deactivating all non-WPML plugins and switching to a standard theme of WordPress.
I also try downloading a copy of your site and restoring it on the local host. But from there, it only takes a few seconds to open the Advanced Translation Editor and translate a page. Please check this screen record hidden link

I think there is an issue with your hosting when sending content to translation. Please get in touch with the hosting support and ask them to monitor your site when you try to translate a page and see if there are any issues there.

We solved increasing the resources on the server (memory and others thresholds). Now it's ok. thank you very much for your support!!!! bye from Italy 🙂
