This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are encountering a message on your dashboard indicating that the WPML Update is Incomplete, stating that the wpml-media-translation component is not updated to the required version 2.7.0, even though the installed version is 2.7.5. Additionally, you are unable to activate the OTGS Installer plugin.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend the following steps:
1. Deactivate the outdated WPML Media plugin.
2. To completely disable the outdated WPML Multilingual CMS plugin, rename the

sitepress.php

file to

sitepress.php-OFF

in the older sitepress-multilingual-cms-3.6.2 directory using the File Manager plugin.
After these steps, the notification should disappear. We also suggest deleting both outdated plugin versions after taking a backup.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to resolve a message in the dashboard that says WPML Update is Incomplete. It indicates that the wpml-media-translation component is not updated to the required version 2.7.0, even though the installed version is 2.7.5. I also attempted to install the OTGS Installer, but activating the plugin does not work.

Symptoms:
The dashboard shows a message stating 'WPML Update is Incomplete' for wpml-media-translation, and the OTGS Installer plugin fails to activate.

Questions:
Why does the dashboard indicate that wpml-media-translation is not updated despite having version 2.7.5 installed?
Why does the OTGS Installer plugin fail to activate?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. To take a closer look at this issue, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that I can look into your setup and debug the issue.

Your next answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

=== Please backup your database and website ===

✙ I would additionally need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is essential.

Thank you

Thank you for sharing the login details. I noticed that older versions of WPML plugins were installed, which caused the issue. Here's what I did:

1. Deactivated the outdated WPML Media plugin.
2. To completely disable the outdated WPML Multilingual CMS plugin, renamed the sitepress.php file to sitepress.php-OFF in the older sitepress-multilingual-cms-3.6.2 directory using the File Manager plugin.

Now the notification is gone. Could you please check and confirm?

I recommend deleting both outdated plugin versions after taking a backup.

Thank you
