Dear Support-Team,

I detected a bug with the WPML media translation and the advanced translation editor.

I added a new exhibition information on our default German page with text and image.
I used the advanced translation editor to translate the text into English and I used the WPML Media translation (WPML -> settings) to upload the English version of the image.
Everything as always. That worked fine in the past.

But now after the translation of the text with the advanced translation editor, all images on the translated English page are the original default German ones!

I cleared all cashes (German default page and English page). I deactivated all plugins and changed the theme but the bug still exists.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

In the attached images I have described what I expected to see and what I got instead.

How can I avoid that when I using the advanced translation editor all images are changed from translated versions to the original versions.

Do you have any suggestion to solve the bug?

Best regards

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you're experiencing. After uploading the image for the translated version in Media Translation, a banner should appear prompting you to scan and replace the image in the translation. Please refer to this screenshot for clarification: hidden link.

Have you completed this operation? If the issue persists even after that, please try the following:

- Take a full backup of your site.
- Please go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting
- Click on the following buttons:
-- Synchronize posts taxonomies [Select 'Media' from the Dropdown before clicking the button]
-- Clear the cache in WPML
-- Set language information
-- Fix post-type assignment for translations

Once done, check the translated page and it should display the image you've uploaded. If not, you can make a small change to the default page, save the changes, and update the translation.

Please let me know how it goes. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
