Hi,

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I tried some tests and noticed that it is not only the image but some text is also reverted back when String Translation is active.

I've escalated the matter to the 2nd tier team with all the details and staging site access.

I'll update you as soon as I hear back.

I just wanted to update you that matter has been further escalated. Since it only happens in WordPress.com hosting and can not be reproduced elsewhere, please keep the staging site as it is with your previously provided access details.

I just received a note from the team:

> As noticed that... image(s) is/are coming from CDN. And there is no CDN plugin it seems hosting level setup. Could you disable the CDN just for testing to be sure that we are dealing with CDN?

I can not control CDN, it is domain from wordpress.com.

They have live chat support, so you can chat with them to ask more.

My stagging site can use chat support.

Hi,

I received some more information from our team:

- They were able to deactivate the CDN from Jetpack plugin feature "Enable site accelerator".
- They also tried removing all actions on shutdown.
- Strangely even after disabling WPML and its add-ons the issue can be seen on the front-end.
- The problem seems to be from WP.com hosting they are replacing the image with the original image after the first refresh.

To continue with further investigation, they need the followings from you:

1) If you can reach WP.com hosting support and ask them, what can be adjusted on hosting to avoid this? You can share the above mentioned video, as well as, this thread for a reference.

2) Is it possible if our team copies the site to install it on a local server? They will install some plugins to copy the site e.g. All in one migration.

They disabled CDN by:

---
"From the left menu tabs, click on Jetpack. Then, in the top right corner, click on Settings.

You will now see new navigation tabs across the top: Security, Performance, Writing... Click on Performance.

To deactivate the image CDN, deselect the option "Speed up image load times," like this: hidden link"

And I disabled CDN, but the issue still have.

After that, support from WP.com said that:

"I'll take a look for you to try to understand the problem, but to be clear, WPML is a product made by a company separate from WordPress.com, just to set your expectations on whether I'll be able to help. The WPML product is outside of the scope of what I can help with."

But they said that: after they clear cache (go to hidden link and find cache section and click to "Clear cache") , the issue will be fixed.

I said that the issue still have if I go to advanced editor and click to Save.

But they said that: this issue is from WPML
