Background of the issue:
I am trying to use XLIFF Imports/Exports and edit in the Advanced Translation Editor.
Symptoms:
XLIFF translations are not visible in the Advanced Translation Editor
Questions:
Our tools and workflow among others use XLIFF, especially when transating web sites. However, for some reason XLIFF files generated by WPML, translated, then reimported into WPML don't appear in the Advanced Translation Editor. This makes no sense.
Please add proper support for XLIFF files with the Advanced Translation Editor.
Thank you very much for your valuable feedback and suggestions.
I have discussed this with our 2nd tier team. While they completely understand and agree with your point, there are currently valid reasons that prevent us from implementing this at the moment. The main reason is the complexity and structure of the plugin and how WPML works internally. Adding this feature could cause other unexpected issues, so our 2nd tier team has decided not to proceed with it for now.
We appreciate your understanding and patience. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions related to this. Thanks
