This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is managing a multilingual site with categories translated into multiple languages. However, links for one specific category in two languages are incorrectly pointing to the main domain (.com) instead of the language-specific domains, causing 404 errors.
Solution:
First, from the default domain, navigate to WPML > Taxonomy Translation and select the Category from the dropdown menu. Edit the Czech translation of that particular category and ensure all updates are applied. After this, clear the object and site caches, and check if the issue persists.
If the problem continues, follow these steps:
- Go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting
- Click the following buttons:
-- Clear the cache in WPML
-- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
-- Assign translation status to duplicated content
-- Set language information
-- Fix post type assignment for translations
-- Update domain name in language switcher settings
- Clear the Object caches and verify the changes.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem still exists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to manage a site that is in 13 languages (15 domains) with around 100 categories. All categories are translated and links are pointing to the translated domain. However, there is an issue with 1 category in 2 languages. The links for these categories are pointing to the main domain (.com) instead of the language-specific domain, resulting in 404 errors. You can see the issue on the example URL: hidden link. When clicking on the category named 'Kuze' (first from the left), it should lead to hidden link but instead, it goes to hidden link.

Symptoms:
The links for 1 category in 2 languages are pointing to the main domain (.com) instead of the language-specific domain, resulting in 404 errors.

Questions:
Why are the links for the 'Kuze' category in 2 languages pointing to the main domain instead of the language-specific domain?
How can I fix the links for these categories to point to the correct language-specific domain?

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you're facing with a specific category. It seems that the language or domain information might not have been properly assigned to the category, causing the translated category to not point to the correct domain.

From the default domain, navigate to "WPML > Taxonomy Translation" and select the Category from the dropdown menu. Edit the Czech translation of that particular category and make an all uppdate updates. After completing this, clear the object and site caches, and then check again.

If the category is still pointing to the incorrect domain, please try the following steps:

- Please go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting
- Scroll down and click the following buttons:
-- Clear the cache in WPML
-- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
-- Assign translation status to duplicated content
-- Set language information
-- Fix post type assignment for translations
-- Update domain name in language switcher settings
- Clear the Object caches and check again.

PPlease let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
