This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where a word deleted in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) still appears in the WordPress editor and on the frontend, despite clearing all caches. This problem is consistent across multiple pages.
Solution:
1. Save/update the default language page and then send it for translation via WPML > Translation Dashboard to yourself. Remove the unwanted content and save.
2. Go to your Dashboard > Pages and open the edit screen of the original page. You might see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
3. Make a small change, such as adding an extra blank space at the end of a sentence or paragraph, and save it.
4. A circular arrow should appear beside the second language links, indicating that an update is required.
5. Edit the translation again and ensure it is saved up to 100% translated.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to edit a text in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) for multiple posts in the Maltese language. We deleted a word in the ATE, but it still appears in the WordPress editor and on the frontend. I have attached screenshots because the language is still hidden.

Symptoms:
The word deleted in the ATE is still shown in the WordPress editor and on the frontend, despite all caches being emptied. This issue is consistent across multiple pages.

Questions:
Why is the deleted word still appearing on the frontend and in the WordPress editor?
How can I ensure that changes made in the ATE are reflected on the frontend?

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us.

While you wait for my colleague to take over the ticket, let me try to help you with the issue quickly.

Please try to save/ update default language page and then send for translation via WPMl > Translation Dashboard to yourself. Take and translate it / remove the content and save.

It should work fine, if not let us know and we will help further.

Regards,
Drazen

Hi Jasper,

Christopher here. I will continue with this ticket. Would you please follow the steps below?

- Go to your Dashboard > Pages.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.

If the issue persists, I'd appreciate it if you could set the next reply as private and provide the login info as in this ticket I do not have access to it and also giv eme the URL of the page to check.

Thanks.

Thanks both,

You put me on track with finding the issue.

It seems that these CPT were 'stuck' in the translation with a previous or older modification and "waiting for the first available translator". So I could not finish the last edit because the previous edit was not finished.

Easiest way to fix it was by going to the original language of the post then clicking on the 'wheel' of the translation and saving the ATE again.
