Tell us what you are trying to do?

I want to display no flags when a page is not translated. Currently if a page is not translated, I still get the English (default) flag. I don't want any hint of WPML to show if a page is not translated.

Hi there.

Please take a look at the solution presented in the tickets below:

That should solve this for you.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

The first link switches the flags to a list. It does not get rid of the switcher on un-translated pages.
The second link also does not have any information on getting rid of the switcher on un-translated pages.

That's very close, but I want to use a dropdown of flags and not a list We don't have room for a list in the menu. If I choose the dropdown option, the "Current Language" checkbox is automatically selected and can't be un-checked.

I see. Thank you for the explanation.

Unfortunately, there's no built-in option in WPML for this at the moment (to use that option with a dropdown format).

However, I think that what you are asking for would make a great feature request and I think it would be great if you can take a couple of seconds to send it straight to our developers by completing the form in the URL below:
https://wpml.org/suggest-a-new-feature-for-wpml/

Thank you!
