Background of the issue:
I was trying to use the Events Manager and WPML Compatibility plugin, but I encountered a critical error. I've disabled the plugin, and the site is back.

Symptoms:
I received several notices and a fatal error. Notices include: 'Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the um-notices domain was triggered too early.' The fatal error is: 'Uncaught TypeError: array_merge(): Argument #1 must be of type array, null given in /home/customer/www/dtawales.org.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/multilingual/em-ml-io.php:70'.

Questions:
How can I resolve the critical error when using the Events Manager and WPML Compatibility plugin?
What steps should I take to ensure translations are loaded correctly?
