Background of the issue:
I am trying to move a development site from hidden link to hidden link and have activated the license in both the WP backend and WPML backend.
Symptoms:
When I log in to the backend and try to translate, WPML says 'WPML has detected a change in your site's URL. To continue translating your site, go to your WordPress Dashboard and tell WPML if your site has been moved or copied.' In the dashboard, it asks 'Looks like this site was previously at hidden link and now it’s at hidden link. Do you still have the same site running at hidden link?' The issue is that the website is never running at hidden link URL. It's only hosted at hidden link. I am not able to select YES/NO as both are wrong.
Questions:
Why is WPML detecting a change in the site's URL when it hasn't moved?
How can I resolve the issue of WPML asking about a site move that didn't happen?
I've checked your screenshot and I know what's going on there. Could you please select "Yes / this is only a copy" for your first prompt? Then, for the second prompt, select "No".
If the issue continues, I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your Website.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
