Background of the issue:
I need to remove the language flag in the left side menu of my site hidden link. I tried changing the settings in the languages tab but it is not working.
Symptoms:
The language flag is still showing in the left side menu despite changing settings in the languages tab.
Questions:
How can I remove the language flag from the left side menu using WPML?
Why are the changes in the languages tab not taking effect?

In short:
- Go to "WPML > Support > Debug Information" (link)
- Copy the Debug Information from there.
- Find the private field I activated and paste that information.

Regarding the language switcher, I checked the source code to determine if it was a "Menu language switcher" or a "Widget language switcher," but it appears to be neither. The code used differs from ours. Could it be that your theme or builder includes a custom WPML switcher, or was it custom-coded? The switcher is added in a div with class "extras". Could you check if your theme offers such "extras" option?
