Background of the issue:
I changed a media on a French page 10 days ago and translated it into English using WPML media translation. The media is correct on the French page, but the English page still shows an old version. See the first picture on this page: hidden link
I already cleared the cache several times.

Symptoms:
The English version of the media is not updated and still shows an old version.

Questions:
Why is the English version of the media not updated?
How can I ensure the media translation is correctly updated on the English page?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

Please try the following steps:

1- Go to WPML-> Media Translation
2- Delete this image's translation and save
3- Click Scan button after the save
4- Re-translate the image

Kindly let me know if the above steps fixed the issue.

Best regards,
Osama

Hello,
I deleted image's translation using 'revert to original' button, saved and retranslated the image but nothing changed.
What do you mean by 'click scan button' ?
Thanks

I found the scan button. It worked for the example above, but not for this one even though I tried several times. It's still an old version.

Hi,

Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama
