This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are using the WPML automatic translation feature and need guidance on excluding specific text from translation and understanding how updates to translations are handled when the original content changes.
Solution:
1. To exclude certain text, such as your organization's name and address, from being translated, you can add these terms to the Glossary and set them not to be translated. For detailed instructions, visit How to Create and Manage Glossary Entries.
2. When amendments are made to the original English version, the automatic translation feature updates only the new, modified, or changed content.
3. Regarding the calculation of used credits, you are charged for the translation of the entire segment if there is a change. For example, if a word in a sentence or paragraph is changed, the whole sentence needs to be re-translated to maintain contextual accuracy.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the automatic translation feature of WPML on my website hidden link. I need to manage how certain elements are translated.

Symptoms:
I am unsure how to exclude specific text from translation and how updates to translations are handled when the original content changes.

Questions:
How to exclude certain text, like our organisation's name and address, from being translated?
When amendments are made to the original English version, how does the automatic translation feature update the translations? Does it update only the modified sentences or the entire content?
How are the used credits calculated when updates are made?

Hello,

thanks for contacting us.

1) You can add terms in Glossary and set them how you wish to not be translated:

2) Only new, modified and changed content is being translated.

3) Same as before, you are charged credits for translation. If there is a segment changed, you will be charged for the whole, for example, you change a word in sentence / paragraph, whole sentence needs to be re-translated to make sense, not only 1 word.

Regards,
Drazen
