This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After upgrading to Divi5, the client experienced issues with their multilingual e-commerce site. Specifically, the English version of the homepage and product page were not displaying correctly, showing only the header and footer. Additionally, any changes made to already translated pages caused them to stop displaying, and the translated footer was not visible across all pages.
Solution:
We recommended the following steps to address the translation issues:
1. Edit the page in the default language.
2. Make a minor edit and update it.
3. Check the translated page on the front end.
We also set the

_et_pb_divi5

custom field to be copied, ensuring that the modules are copied to the English version of the pages.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket.

Hi! I made a huge mistake, moved to divi5… my site (onlinebouzoukischool.gr) is an eshop where a musician sells annual subscriptions to those who are interested to learn how to play the bouzouki by watching his videos. There is a huge dissapointment to all of us who trusted divi years ago and we find ourselves today helpless facing the dilemma “stay to divi4 or take our chances with divi5?”. Long story short, I almost did what a user with medium experience in WPML could do to solve translation problems (original pages in greek, translated in english) :

– Homepage and product page not showing in english version, only header & footer visible. Rest of pages ok.
– If I decide to change something in any already translated page, then it stops showing as well.
– Translated footer version not visible – only the greek version on all pages (greek and english).

Please, if you think you could provide some help, I ‘d be very glad to know (at least for the english version of the Homepage).

Thank you in advance for your time to read this ticket written in poor english!

Image: This is the translated homepage in english (the same thing happens with the "Registration" page. We see only header and footer. These two pages have something in common: I did minor changes in their translation. We also see the greek and not the english version of the footer. ALL websited PAGES are correctly translated. At least there were no problems in divi4. These issues came up as soon as I upgraded to divi5. I cannot go back to divi4. WooCommerce holds info of recent subscription purchases while in divi5.

Hi Kostas,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

We have some known issues with Divi 5. Please check this page.

I'll do my best to help you through this issue, but for that, I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please back up your database and website ❌

✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the access details. I was able to retrieve the page content, but you would need to edit the English page using Divi to fix some layout issues.

Please check it and let me know if the content appears correctly.

Best regards,
Osama

Osama great job! Thank you so much! However could you do the same for the registration page? The same issue you resolved for Homepage applies to "Registration".

I also want to ask should i try to alter or refresh the translation of any page (since i did minor changes on the greek version) or I will loose again the translated pages on the front end (as it happened with homepage and Registration page)?

Thank you again for your help. At least the translated homepage is active again...

Regards,
Kostas

Hi Kostas,

In order to retrieve the Registration page, please try the following steps:

1- Edit the page in the default language
2- Make a minor edit and update it
3- Check the translated page on the front end

What I did was set the "_et_pb_divi5" custom field to be copied, so the modules are copied to the English version of the pages.

Best regards,
Osama

Dear Osama, followed your instructions and made it happen! All translated pages show up! However there is one last thing that I cannot find how to resolve. The footer. The translated footer does not show up, so the greek version is present in any page, original or translated. If you can provide any extra help I'd be grateful!!!

Thank you once again!

Hi Kostas,

The used footer is not translated. Please check the following steps:

1- Go to WPML-> Translation Management
2- Go to the Divi Footer section
3- Send the "New Footer OBS1 - Gr" to translation
4- Translate this footer
5- Check the English pages

Kindly let me know if the above steps fixed the issue.

Best regards,
Osama
