Background of the issue:
I am trying to access the string translations in the WPML plugin, but they don't appear in the plugin menu. I am an admin on the site.
Symptoms:
I only see 'translation management, translations, settings' in the menu, and when I try to access string translations from the URL, it says 'Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.'
Questions:
Why are the string translations missing from the WPML plugin menu?
Why am I not allowed to access the string translations page even though I am an admin?
Yes, I already installed the String Translation add-on.
As for the debug information, I can't access it. As you can see in the screenshot I attached, the ''support'' settings don't appear in the WPML plugin menu.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE MAKE A FULL BACKUP OF THE SITE FIRST!
- Add the code below into the functions.php file inside the theme folder
- Load a frontend page (any page) just ONCE
- Remove the code from the functions.php file and see if anything changed in the backend (see if you now see the missing tabs)
