Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the WPML plugin with the eMarket theme, which is fully compatible with WPML. After installing WPML, I noticed an issue with the header and footer disappearing in the main language. The issue resolves when I deactivate WPML, but reappears when I enable it again. Here is a link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
The header and footer are lost in the main language after enabling WPML. The issue does not occur when WPML is deactivated.

Questions:
Why does the header and footer disappear in the main language after enabling WPML?
How can I resolve the issue of the missing header and footer while using WPML with the eMarket theme?

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. I checked and we did not test the eMarket theme for compatibility but we will be happy to check if there is an issue with the compatibility.

To be able to report the compatibility issues we need to replicate the issue on a clean installation.
I created a clean installation of WordPress, WPML, and all necessary WPML add-ons.
You can access the WordPress dashboard using the link below:

Kindly follow the steps below:

- Install your theme.
- Install the necessary plugins for the theme.
- Add a sample header and footer.
- Try to replicate the issue.

This will help us to report the probable issue to the compatibility team and solve the possible problem faster.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply, it seems somehow you imported the whole website to the Sandbox which is not what we meant from the whole process.

The prupose of a Sandbox is to have only the theme and if needed a plugin that theme requirres to have the most clean installation possible to avoid any other environmental problems.

There are a lot of plugins are there that defeat the whole purpose.

That is why I'd appreciate it if you could replicate the issue on a clean installation without importing anything and using the theme.

I created another Sandbox and I'd appreciate it if you could only install the theme, and replicate the issue. Please make sure the latest version of the theme is used.
