This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with the homepage after following previous instructions, resulting in a buggy main homepage and seeking a way to restore or fix the problem.
Solution:
First, we recommend switching the 'Reading' settings back to the Homepage option after ensuring a full backup of the site. Then, resave the permalinks from Settings>>Permalinks and check if the issue persists.

If the homepage is still buggy, it may be due to incomplete translations. The client should visit the homepage in the default language (Italian) and complete the translations into English and German.

Should the problem continue, we advise the client to perform the following troubleshooting steps after a mandatory full site backup:

  • Go to WPML>>Support page and click on the Troubleshooting link.
  • On the Troubleshooting page, click on the following options in the 'Clean up' section, waiting for confirmation after each:
  • Clear the cache in WPML
  • Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
  • Fix element_type collation
  • Set language information
  • Fix WPML tables collation
  • Assign translation status to duplicated content
  • Fix terms count
  • Fix post type assignment
  • Cleanup and optimize string tables

Please note that the solution provided might be outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

The default language of the site and homepage is Italian. So following steps will not hurt the current design.

Please check the attached image. Now you have selected the *latest posts* option in Settings>>Reading. So please switch back to the Homepage option after a backup and resave the permalinks from Settings>>Permalinks. Then make sure the issue exists or not.

Your page does not exist or its translation has not been published in English or German.

I get this error, but now the Homepage is working fine.

Now, what do I need to do to translate them correctly?

Thank you for the updates. You are getting this warning because the Homepage has not been translated into the secondary languages yet.

Please visit the following URL(Italian Homepage) and complete the translation of the page to English and German.

If the issue exists, please try the following troubleshooting steps after a full site backup{mandatory} and make sure the issue exists or not.

By adjusting the settings of the /en/ page to match those of the Italian version, I managed to resolve some issues.

However, now the problem is this:

I have encountered the following menu, which is different from that of the main homepage.

How can I resolve this?
