Hello please help me out here,

I am still trying to get WPML to work for me for months and keep on having problems with it.

everytime i try to make changes to a product i keep on getting critcal server error or error 500.

I have been talking to hosting - they ask for a dev of WPML to show the log and errors heree the conversation:

The most sure way would be to disable the WPML plugin and test, if the issue is resolved, that will surely mean that the issue is with the plugin itself.

10:46 AM

I need WPML - its a premium plugin - and it only happens with WPML thats for sure

10:47 AM

as i have an exact copy of the page on europackprint.de without WPML

10:47 AM

but i need wpml

10:47 AM

wpml make 9 copied of the website, hence i asume its almost 9x taking up as much ressources

10:47 AM

I completely understand, we can be sure that it might need an additional setup, or a module maybe. Would it be possible to ask the devs of the plugin why the error could come up? Since the issue here should not be with the usage.

10:48 AM

as the other website - which might be causing the issue with the server

10:48 AM

We can monitor it here hidden link -> Settings -> Statistics.

10:48 AM

The usage should not be an issue here I would say. It might be a requirement that the plugin has that we need to fill.

10:48 AM

so what can I do?

10:49 AM

Im happy to upgrade the plan if that might fix it if my current plan doesnt support the requirements

10:50 AM

but how can i figure out he problem? error 500 has something to do with hosting and server side right?

10:50 AM

The errors are generated by the plugins, basically the plugin's devs say what the error would be exactly. And they can write if a condition is matched, show this error, even though it might not be related to the setup, website, server, etc.

10:51 AM

In this case a good solution might be to check with the devs of the plugin if possible Viktor.

10:52 AM

That way they can review this and provide us with logs on what is causing the issue exactly.

10:52 AM

If they say that an upgrade is needed, we can set this up , absolutely. But I am not sure it is worth it to pay more, if they can fix the issue, or provide us with logs that can help us fix the issue without paying more.

10:52 AM

... really frustrating

10:56 AM

I am really sorry about tis Viktor, but as long as we have the logs from the plugin, I am sure we would be able to help.

10:56 AM

We just need to know what exactly it needs and what causes it to error out.

10:57 AM

can you tell me the memory limit for my plan?

10:59 AM

or what the allowance is

10:59 AM

Absolutely, it is 768M per PHP process. That is not a hard limit, but a process limit.

10:59 AM

I have read through: https://wpml.org/faq/500-error/

which is also not helpful.

PLease help me out how can i get WPML to work for my website

Best,

Viktor

Hi there!

This is Paola and I hope you are well! I will do my best to help you find a solution.

Let's start by streamlining the troubleshooting process and identifying any potential conflicts with plugins.

For this initial diagnostic phase, I recommend performing the following steps on either a staging site or by installing the "Check Conflicts" plugin. This precaution ensures that any adjustments made will not impact your live production site.

Could you kindly deactivate all plugins, excluding WooCommerce and those associated with WPML? Additionally, consider switching to a default theme during this test.

If the issue resolves itself during this process, gradually reactivate each plugin one by one. This systematic approach will help pinpoint the culprit causing the problem.

Please let me know what you find.
