This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where English and Japanese posts/pages appear together in every filter view on their website. Despite selecting a specific language filter, items from both languages are displayed, which should not happen. This issue persists even after attempting to reset WPML and clearing the cache.
Solution:
We initially guided the client to check and reconfigure the WPML Language Switcher widget in Elementor for posts and pages, and to verify the translation status and update translations for relevant content. Additionally, we suggested running 'Set language information' and 'Clear the cache in WPML' from WPML->Support->Troubleshooting. However, these steps did not resolve the issue.
Upon further investigation, we identified that the issue was caused by the PeepSo plugin by PeepSo Inc., which is not compatible with WPML. Deactivating the PeepSo plugin resolved the language filter issue, confirming that it does not support multiple languages and is incompatible with WPML as stated on their community page: PeepSo Community Page.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
