Hi Joseph,

Thanks for reaching out.

WPML handles media translation by allowing you to associate translated media (like featured images and gallery items) with translated posts or pages.

However, when duplicating content via the Translation Dashboard, media items aren’t always copied automatically unless the correct sync settings are enabled.

To ensure the media is duplicated and available across translations, please follow these steps:

- Go to WPML → Settings → Media Translation

- If the auto-detection for media translations is currently enabled, please disable it and then expand the additional òptions.

- Enable all options to duplicate media for translated content and for new content, and run the sync option.

This will create the missing media entries inside your media library in all active languages.

Once done, the featured images should appear correctly in the duplicated translations.

Let us know if you still notice any missing media after syncing.

Best regards,
Andreas
