Problem:
You are experiencing issues with redirects on your website, where Google Search Console shows problems, and the last redirect done by WPML is incorrect. You are also concerned about the canonical URL settings for different languages as suggested by Yoast SEO.
Solution:
1) If you are trying to redirect a trashed URL, ensure the item is not in the trash, is existing, and is published. After confirming this, you can remove the existing redirect rule.
2) Regarding canonical URLs, these should indicate to Google which page is the original to avoid duplicate content issues. This is standard behavior and should not be changed to prevent SEO problems.
3) Ensure you are using the WPML SEO addon from WPML for optimal integration with SEO functionalities.
4) If you have doubts about the SEO settings for the default language, consulting with Yoast SEO is recommended.

Background of the issue:
I am experiencing issues with redirects on my website hidden link. Google Search Console shows redirect problems, and the last redirect done by WPML is incorrect. I want the canonical URL for Swedish users to be .se, but Yoast suggests each language should have its own canonical URL. I want the correct language site to appear based on the user's language preference.

Symptoms:
Google Search Console shows redirect problems with certain pages, and the last redirect by WPML is incorrect.

Questions:
How can I change the incorrect redirects done by WPML?
Is it correct that each language should have its own canonical URL as suggested by Yoast?
Can you check my website to ensure all translation settings are correct in WPML?

Hello,

1) For a trashed URL redirect, you are trying to redirect the deleted item to the existing one. Please first make sure your item is not anymore in trash and is existing and is published, then go to the redirect and you can remove the redirect rule, and it should work fine now.

2) For canonical, canonical URLs will indicate to Google which page is the original page and therefore reduce the risk of "duplicate content". It is not something we control, and that is correct behavior, you should not change this as you may experience some SEO issues.

3) Make sure you are using WPML SEO addon from WPML.

4) If you have doubts about default language SEO, yes please consult with Yoast SEO.

Thanks. I am checking with Yoast now.
Could you just help me quickly with another issue I found?
I have translation credits and I want to add them to patriciabohlen.se but when I click on the website nothing happens. At the same time a window pops up showing me that I am still connected to keplerhosting??? I changed hosting some months ago and I am with cloudways now. I don't know why keplerhosting is still showing. Can we delete this? I could add a screenshot of what I mean but I cannot attach anything here now.
