Hi there, How can I rename a string in my default language? In settings, it says the site language is English, but in wpml - languages, it says its English. Take a look at the screenshot to see what I want to change. The current work is in German and I want to change it to English. |

Hi there. Sorry for the delayed response - there has been a full ticket queue in the past few days and there has also been a weekend where not so many of us, supporters, are working. I am not 100% sure that I understand what you mean by this: "In settings, it says the site language is English, but in wpml - languages, it says its English" But, I will share 2 helpful pieces of info that will probably help you accomplish what you wanted. 1. In the first screenshot that you attached, I can see that the language is set to EN but the strings are in DE probably. You can check the box next to that string, then a bit down you have an option called "change the language of the selected strings" - you can use that and you can mark that string as DE instead of EN 2. If what you want is just to edit the string to something else, you can check the box next to that string > select the "change the language of the selected strings" option > and select a language that is NOT set up yet on the site, doesn't matter, Italian, Spanish, any language that doesn't exist on the site. This will allow you to add your own version of that string for the EN language. I hope that you will find this information helpful. 🙂 Please let me know how things go. Mihai Apetrei |

Hello, The problem from the 1st screenshot is fixed! Thank you very much! However, the problem from the 2nd screenshot still stands. What I want to do is change the string language of store URLs. As you can see, , produkt, produkt-kategorie and produkt-schlagwort should placed in the german language. Now they are in English. This is what I want to change. |

Hi there. You should be able to set that from here: You can change the default language or the slug text. Mihai |

Hello! The issue is half-fixed now. The product category is good but the product is not. And I have translated it into the correct language. Please look at the screenshots. New threads created by Marcel and linked to this one are listed below: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/product-slug-not-translated-into-english/ |
