This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with the translation status not updating after bulk edits, and automatic translation not functioning due to the default language not being mapped to a supported language. Additionally, some links on the page are not translating correctly.
Solution:
We recommend checking the WPML > Translation Management > Translation Tools > Automatic Translation Engines section to ensure that a translation engine is active. In this case, we activated DeepL, but you should activate the engine you previously used. After activating the appropriate engine, retry the steps previously mentioned. If the problem persists, it might be due to outdated information or a different issue. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.
