This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with WPML on their website where new elements added in the original language do not appear in the translation editor for other languages. Even after translating them, the translated page does not update and remains based on an older layout snapshot. Additionally, some templates and pages do not synchronize across all languages.
Solution:
We recommend ensuring that you are using the latest versions of WPML and related add-ons. To test synchronization, follow these steps:
1. Make a small change in the default language template, such as adding or modifying a text element.
2. Save the template.
3. Open the translation in the Advanced Translation Editor and complete/save it again.
If new elements still do not appear or the translation does not update, temporarily disable any caching or optimization plugins, as these can sometimes cause issues.

If the problem persists, we suggest visiting our known issues page to check for any related known issues, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please open a new support ticket.

Hello WPML Support Team,

I’m experiencing an issue with WPML on thedrops.eu.

Problem

When I update a page in the original language (English) and add new elements (for example a button on the homepage or text in the header/USP bar), those elements do not appear in the translation editor for other languages, and even if they though, translating them in the WPML translator doesn't update the page. The translated page seems to remain based on an older layout snapshot.

The only workaround that currently works is:
1. Disconnect the translation from the original page
2. Reconnect / recreate the translation

After doing this, the new and translated elements appear on the live website.

Additional issue

For some templates and pages we can't get it to work at all for some languages. It simply won't recognize the translated pages as part of the group, even though they are connected like they should. These templates are Header, Product Category, Product page.

Questions
1. Is there a recommended configuration for Bricks + WPML so that templates and pages are synced automatically?
2. Is there a way to resynchronize the layout of existing translations without having to manually disconnect and recreate each translation?
3. Please assist to sync the Header, Product Category and Product Page templates across the languages and make sure that when the English (main language) template updates, that this triggers the connected languages to update as well.

Additional information
• Builder: Bricks Builder
• Translation editor: Advanced Translation Editor
• Issue occurs on pages and header templates
• Cache cleared and WPML troubleshooting tools already run

Here is a screencast where I show and explain the issue: hidden link

If needed I can provide:
• screenshots
• site access

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,
Roman

Hello Roman,

Thank you for getting back and for the detailed explanation and screencast.

First, please make sure you are using the latest WPML versions (currently WPML 4.9.2 and related add-ons).

Then, to test the synchronization:

- Make a small change in the default language template (for example, add or modify a simple text element)

- Save the template

- Open the translation in the Advanced Translation Editor and complete/save it again

If the new elements still do not appear or the translation does not update, please try the following:

Temporarily disable any caching or optimization plugins (for example, SG Optimizer, caching, minification, etc.). Sometimes Object cache can cause some issues.

If the problem still persists after these steps, let me know and we can continue troubleshooting further.

Regards,
Dražen

There seemed to be 2 translations or our Header template which caused the issues. The issue is revolved. Thank you!
