Background of the issue:
I would like to translate the cookie message on my website (hidden link) with WPML. My default language is German, and I have translated the pages into English. When creating the layout, I made sure that the buttons had the same width despite the different text lengths. I switched the translations to the ‘WordPress Editor’, which apparently no longer overwrites the layout changes.
Symptoms:
The cookie message remains in German when the language is switched. Layout changes are overwritten.
Questions:
How can I resolve the problem with the translation of the cookie message?
How can I ensure that the English version of the imprint page is displayed in the English language version of the website when the hyperlink is clicked?
Why have the layout changes been overwritten?
Is it the right procedure to switch the translations to the ‘WordPress Editor’ so that layout changes are not overwritten?
What is the best way to proceed when creating a new website? Should I have the entire website translated automatically and then switch to the ‘WordPress Editor’?
Can I leave the WordPress Editor activated and still use automated translations?
