This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to update WPML to version 4.6.15, but the update is not proceeding as expected.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you try the following steps:
1. Check if the issue is related to an incorrect site key by following the steps in this guide: http://wpml.org/faq/how-to-remove-the-this-site-is-registered-on-wpml-org-as-a-development-site-notice/#what-if-the-notice-still-appears-after-moving-to-production. Verify that the correct key is being used for the production site.
2. If the issue persists, manually download WPML from http://wpml.org/account/downloads/, ensuring you are downloading the latest (non-beta) version from the WPML Multilingual CMS changelog page at http://wpml.org/download/wpml-multilingual-cms/?section=changelog.
3. Remove the current WPML version from your site and manually install the downloaded version. This process will not affect your existing translations.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support!

I tried this on my localhost but the issue does not occur.

That being said, can you please try the following:

1. Follow the steps in this guide to check if the issue is related to a possibly incorrect site key: http://wpml.org/faq/how-to-remove-the-this-site-is-registered-on-wpml-org-as-a-development-site-notice/#what-if-the-notice-still-appears-after-moving-to-production. Verify that the correct key is being used for the production site.

2. If the issue persists, go to http://wpml.org/account/downloads/, click to download WPML manually, and ensure you are downloading the latest (non-beta) version from the WPML Multilingual CMS changelog page at http://wpml.org/download/wpml-multilingual-cms/?section=changelog.

3. Remove the current WPML version from your site and manually install the downloaded version. This process will not affect your existing translations.

Let me know if these steps resolve the issue.

Regards,
Bruno Kos

Hi Zoltan,

Did you try going to Plugins > Add New > Commercial Tab and updating from there?

If this did not help, can you please share exactly with us what message you are seeing? If you have any screens showing the issue, please add them so we can try to help.

Thank you!

Can you try what I suggested on https://wpml.org/forums/topic/update-to-4-6-15/#post-16517774?

If that hasn't worked, can you try this:

1. Edit wp-config.php and insert the following lines (just before /* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ part)

define( 'WP_DEBUG', true);
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);

2. Reproduce the issue - try updating WPML.

3. Locate the debug log in: /wp-content/debug.log

I manualy installed the new version on the websites, I could update them this way. It was time consuming, but worked. 🙂

If the issue occurs after the next update of either WPML or any of its addons, let us know so we could debug in more detail.
