Previously, you provided a code-based solution to prevent the recurring 404 errors on my product pages. While this reduced the 404 issue, it is now significantly slowing down my website.

This is not workable for us. I need a stable solution that prevents the 404 errors without negatively affecting website performance.

At the moment, we are either dealing with broken product pages or a slow website, and both situations are harming our sales.

There must be a proper technical solution for this. Please advise urgently.

Thanks for your patience. I've checked your previous ticket, and I believe you're referring to the code in this faq https://wpml.org/faq/why-is-htaccess-getting-overwritten-with-the-language-folder-on-my-wpml-website/ .

I don't think applying this code will slow down your Website and I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
