Background of the issue:
I am trying to change content in the default language (English) on a page, but when I do, the content in the other language is overridden by the default English. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
When I change anything in the default language (English) on a page, the content in the other language is overridden by the default English.

Questions:
Why does changing the default language text override the changes in the other language?

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. I’d be happy to help you resolve this issue.

Could you please open the page in the default language and check the language metabox on the right-hand side? Does it display "Duplicate" next to the translated language?

If so, this is expected behavior. I recommend switching the language of the page using the top bar, clicking on "Translate Independently"in the secondary language, and saving the changes to see if this resolves the issue.

Additionally, could you share a screenshot showing the type of content that is being overridden?
