We have installed WPML to unify the pages of the UK and USA into one for one of our clients.

The issue is that after installing WPML, we cannot edit menus correctly.

In fact, it only allows adding items that are Custom Links, without letting add elements of type Page, Post, Post Types, Taxonomies, etc.

Furthermore, when trying to edit any already created menu and saving it, it deletes all the elements keeping only the custom links.

We have detected these three errors in Query Monitor:

Notice error: "Undefined offset: 0"
File: wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/inc/taxonomy-term-translation/wpml-term-translation.class.php
Line: 296
Plugin: sitepress-multilingual-cms

Notice error: "Trying to access array offset on value of type null"
File: wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/inc/taxonomy-term-translation/wpml-term-translation.class.php
Line: 296
Plugin: sitepress-multilingual-cms

Notice error: "Trying to access array offset on value of type null"
File: wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/inc/wp-nav-menus/class-wpml-nav-menu.php
Line: 314
Plugin: sitepress-multilingual-cms

So we would appreciate your help in trying to find a solution to this problem.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Oliver,

When deactivating WPML temporarily you can edit the menus, right?

What are your results if you go to Appearance->Menus-> add a new test menu, are you then able to edit it as expected?

Hi Bobby,

Yes, when I disable WPML the Appearance->Menus behaviour is correct.

This only happens when WPML is enabled.

TIA

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,
Bobby
